| The Doctors Dr. Terry Lowitz has been practicing general dentistry in the Finneytown, Wyoming, Brentwood area of Cincinnati for almost 30 years. He continues to improve his craft by attending numerous continuing education courses annually. Dr. Lowitz received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1979 from The Ohio State University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Lowitz is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Cincinnati Dental Society, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Flying Dental Association. He is working towards his Diplomat Status in the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. His Daughter Amy attends Brown University and is a Physics major. He and his daughter enjoy many hobbies including SCUBA diving and flying. He is an accomplished pilot and teaches recreational and technical scuba diving in the Cincinnati area.
Dr. Melissa Meier joined our practice in July, 2002. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky in 1994 and her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2001.
A member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Ohio Dental Association, the Cincinnati Dental Society, and the American Association of Women Dentistsis, she is active in organized dentistry on a local and national level. In her free time, Dr. Meier enjoys golfing, shopping, cooking, and spending time with her family. She and her husband Ed live in Hyde Park with their son Braden. Our dedicated team includes four highly skilled, caring Registered Dental Hygienists committed to providing you with a comfortable and relaxing visit. Side by side with our dentists, you will find experienced and conscientious dental assistants, trained to the highest standards, to extend the finest dental care.
Supporting our business office, four knowledgeable business personnel are available to explain dental insurance, schedule appointments and establish financial arrangements. All of the staff is well versed in all areas of dentistry from state-of-the-art dental techniques to listening to your needs. Lisa Moss assists Dr. Lowitz during the restorative phase of your treatment. With more than 20 years as a chairside dental assistant, Lisa has a thorough understanding of the clinical aspects of dentistry. A Cincinnati native, Lisa and her husband Tom enjoy boating and watersports with their two sons, Chad and Aaron. Lisa is a real asset to our practice.
Stacey Woeste, R.D.H. has a friendly and warm way about her that eases any anxieties our patients may have. Stacey earned her Bachelor of Science, Registered Dental Hygiene and Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Degrees from The Ohio State University. After meeting her husband Mike, they moved to Cincinnati. They have four children: Ally, twins Benjamin and Bridget, and Colleen.
Terri Scalia, R.D.H received her degree in dental hygiene from the University of Cincinnati in 2006. She and her husband Tom reside in Colerain Township with their three children; Cortney, Kirsten and Alex. Terri enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her dog Dewey, and reading a good book.
Kim Frank's smiling face has greeted patients in our practice for more than 25 years. She knows most patients by their first names and extends her sincere attitude to them all. Kim is in charge of appointment control, daily patient transactions, financial arrangements, insurance problems and more. Kim and her husband Gary enjoy their three children, Savannah, Clayton, and Autumn.
Teresa Hubbard, A.Q.P. wears two hats. First she is responsible for appointment control, insurance inquiries, patient registration and much more at the reception desk. In addition, she assists both doctors when needed in the treatment rooms. Teresa is also responsible for applying the protective sealants on your child's teeth. Teresa and husband Jim have three beautiful children, Zachary, Rachel, and Jamie.
Julie Akroush, our office manager, comes to us from Northville, Michigan. With over 16 years experience, as a dental business office manager, she is responsible for operational functions, financial arrangements and certain business policies. Julie and her husband Sam enjoy biking and golfing. They share two lovely daughters, Deanna and Denise, and have seven lively grandchildren.
Theresa Hickey, EFDA is the primary assistant to Dr. Meier. She has been a dental assistant since 1998. Theresa ia an Expanded Functions Duty Assistant, and is licensed by the State of Ohio to perform procedures such as placing sealants, and fillings. She is active in softball and volleyball. Theresa is an animal lover; She has two dogs and takes care of her family's two Shetland horses.
Veronica Lehmkuhl, R.D.H., or Roni as we all call her, received her degree in dental hygiene from University of Cincinnati in 1974. Prior to that she was a dental assistant for a local orthodontist, where she met her husband Tom. Roni and Tom have two daughters in their twenties, Toni and Chrissy. Toni received her degrees from Miami and Butler Universities, and works for Eli Lilly in Indianapolis. Chrissy is pursuing her Masters degree in biomedical engineering at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Look for Roni and Tom on the golf course or camping in their Winnebago.
Karen Emig works at the front desk and takes care of scheduling, insurance, and billing. She and her husband Bobby live in Wyoming with their three daughters, Jamie, Nikki, and Megan. In her free time Karen teaches aerobics, is a scout leader, and is active in her church. She also enjoys reading and playing sand volleyball.
Becky Bashor, RDH, is a native of Arkansas and a graduate of Caruth School of Dental Hygiene, Baylor College of Dentistry, Dallas, Texas. Although no longer practicing in our office on a regular basis, Becky serves as a sub. She especially enjoys seeing patients she has known for over twenty-five years. Becky and her husband Kent currently enjoy retirement in their home in Hidden Valley Lake in Indiana. They remain active in their church in Cincinnati and travel often. Cleveland is now a big attraction since granddaughter Kate arrived! |
